The Battle for the Bridge!!! - East meets West Come have some fun and give your neighbor hugs with bullets. We tested out making the bridge PVP for a week and the results were unanimous. Boooooooooooo!!!! Bad Admins!!! Booooooooo!!!!! So, to send the idea out with a bang, we will be holding the Battle for the Bridge! This Battle will most likely be an ongoing event for the server from time to time to liven up some gameplay for those who have built what they can and want to have a little pvp fun. THE RULES!: 1. PVP on the bridge ONLY. No outside sniping from any hills or fields. The line of the bridges starting road peice is verrrrrrry visible. That is the line of death when you cross it. 2. Bring anything and everything you are willing to see go bye bye. Looting on the bridge is completely legal. If a fallen teamates loot is of use to a live teamates...you can't go wrong with that. If your stuff is taken, you can always Barter for it. 3. Vehicles - NO HELIS...This is land based only. Meaning, bring whatever armored piece of road-warrior badasness you can. I expect to see explosions! You cannot even bring a heli if only PVE to the event, we cannot have people giving away positions to the other side and spotting for them. BOATS - I dont care about boats. I know you cant see people from the bottom side, but you can hear them. Follow along if you want. There are no ways to fire from a boat either. So it should be all good. 4. Any vehicles that people drive to the event should be parked together. We will need "Parking attendants" who are not participating in the battle, to watch participants cars. 5. Reinforcements are allowed. If you can get back to the battle, you can keep going. So it is advised to have a pilot or driver on standby behind the lines to gather reinforcements to the bridge. I know you may say "You said no Helis!?!" No helis in the battle, no helis besides the bridges spotting. Helis will park at the end of the bridges with the vehicles being watched. The soldier in the battle will then need to walk from his position across the bridge, or be picked up by another soldier participating in the battle that can drive him across the bridge to the fight. 6. Mods will be watching the whole time. We will get the names of all participants before the fighting starts. If anyone is shot by, or shoots another player not on that list, is banned. We will be fighting. There are no real time for questions. It will just be a ban if your name is not on that list. We realize there will be new players joining the server, we need to do our best to inform them of this event when it happens. Any griefers will be dealt with. 7. HAVE FUN! Get those aggressions out on someone whos been giving you hell on the server in a friendly competition. Just come to have fun with a little pvp with others. Try out some pvp for the first time in a restricted environment on dayz. Come get PHAT LOOTZ from dead bodies.....Whatever the reason is, HAVE FUN! 8. No vehicles, items, or players allowed on the bridge before the event starts. EVERYONE must be behind the starting line to the bridge which is marked by the bridge railings. Stay behind the point at which the railings to that bridge start. Admins will be on both sides. Players who try to go to soon will continually get kicked. Look for a few edits as the admins and others talk over a few more items. Expected time of the event is 11pm Eastern Time. |

It's now 11pm. As for west vs east population....We could use some help on the west side a bit more as Shift and the other SS guys are grouping with CPA. We have a good group on the west going so far.

How long does it take to be Whitelisted? Not to bother about it, but I started the server last week and would love to participate in this even if my gear is low quality!  |

Don't know about whitelist ETA (i am assuming you are referring to the server whitelist which last time i checked was off) As for the low quality stuff. If you want good kit, don't be afraid to loot cycle firestations, etc. Its where i got my first GPS (took 5 hrs but heck it was worth it) as well as where i got my M4A1 CCO and my AK-107 GL. Farm barns is where you find stuff like M14s, etc Try to farm somewhere with 2 places of interest near by (say a pub, church and fire station trio) then by the time you finish cycling the later 2 the first has already re-spawned) Protip though: Whist US weapons are the sex, their ammo can be hard to find at times. Don't hesitate to wield Russian weapons. They are as deadly as the US ones, just slightly louder. Anyone for the lemmings going to be giving away free weapons? I am going to go for the supportive role (as in minding the cars and healing spectators hurt by cross fire) if i make it  I can't wait till the bridge opens because it seems like the west island's mine is the safer one to go to (less contested territory compared to the east and its close proximity to the blurred boards of Sabina) East side FTW! |

Don't know about whitelist ETA (i am assuming you are referring to the server whitelist which last time i checked was off) I wonder why I keep getting kicked then o.O.. I remember last week when I first started in the server that it was being discussed, so when I couldn't log in I figured that was the case and put in an application to be whitelisted. I guess I'll have to uninstall and reinstall and see if that works. I do keep getting a message asking if I want to play the game without installing the update, but I've already checked and I have the most up-to-date, so I don't know what it's referring to lol Thanks for the information and tips though! As of last week, I had a fully repaired jeep with a mounted gun and about 7 remats so I was planning on trading them for NVG and Mega, but that will have to wait until I can get this "kicking" problem figured out! |

(pardon the slight o/t ) Yeah I've extra cautious at the moment because i keep on getting a ping kick because my ISP is crap  and my high ping will keep me away from the battlefield sadly. Can barely hit a zombie if its standing still, rarely hit it if its walking and I can't hit it without spray and pray and even then its hit and miss Other option I have is to run a taxi service from Etanovsk (spawn city) to the thresholds for those who can't take a hint when they keep on dying  I love the UAZ with the mounted 50 cal ( i got one tooo) but only prob is the SOAB won't fit in me f***ing small garage  oh well Seist La Vie |

I don't even know if my car is still alive in the server and where I left it... I had a betty van and someone raided it my first night of the server so I was hesitant to leave my car, but I took out as many remats as I could carry just in case someone does find it. >.<

-But if anyone has a gun that can use m240/Stanag rounds, I'll provide the ammo for them . I have a bunch of them . And I'll give away a couple GPS if y'all want it .
